Stephen’s journey began in 1977, when he became a close friend and business associate of automotive legend Carroll Shelby—a partnership that lasted until Shelby’s passing in 2012. Shelby taught him the collector car business from the ground up, instilling a passion for authenticity, craftsmanship, and integrity that still defines our work today.

His career highlights include founding and operating Planet Shelby Cobra—the world’s top-selling dealer for vintage and continuation Shelby Cobras and Mustangs from 2006 to 2016—being named a finalist for the Ernst & Young/Inc. Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year, and serving as one of the few hand-chosen members of the NADA Advisory Board for classic, antique, and muscle cars.
